For pete's sake... by zeitnot 2006-09-14 04:25:38
"Nelly Awards $10,000 To Student Producers For Best Commercial
Nelly’s Second Annual P.I.M.P (Positive. Intellectual. Motivated. Person)"

Kudos to Nelly (is this person a he or a she?) for the scholarship program.

But "pimp" as an acronym??

It's far far too late to make an attempt at reinventing this word as something wholesome.

"Pimp" was an unflattering label for quite a long time until the "gangster rap" crowd started glamorizing the criminal lifestyle.

Now their influence has largely turned "pimp" into a verb. To offer it up as an acronym

And were this acronym to (against all odds) catch on in the larger population, the Pimp Juice Marketing Department would be stricken with dismay, for their intention to exploit the "I'm cool, I'm dangerous, I'm baaaaaad" would be completely disrupted.

What then? A name change to "Ho Juice?"

And subsequently, a press release: "oh no, it doesn't mean -that-, it means Hopeful Optimist!"
