Well, the tale of the cows comes in 3 parts. by treehugger 2006-09-14 02:08:33
First there were the dairy cows. They were quite large, but not too big, and they were very good at moving out of the way when I came up behind them singing the Indiana Jones theme tune. They did look at me as though I were from outer space, but I got used to that. As it got hotter they began to rest in the shade of the hedgerows, which was good cos they weren't on the path anymore, until they all decided to lie down and chew the cud in front of all the stiles/gates. They were very affronted that I might want to pass that way.

The next day I progressed to the next level. Beef cows. They're quite big actually. Solid. If they have calves at foot, they can get a bit antsy. So there was more singing of Indiana Jones and this time I made deviations around them while they appeared to size me up for trampling and future consumption. I'm sure it should say on the bumph that this route will be at least doubled if there are cows in the field cos the route you have to take is so convoluted. They can look very scornful can cows.

Finally I reached level 3. Bulls. Luckily they were on the other bank of the river so I could admire them in peace. They are huge dudes! Seriously chunky in an Arnie way. And they were surprisingly well endowed. Indeed.

And that is the tale of the cows.
