LA's bar, just round the corner from Lone Star (I think it's now called Al's Bar). And Americanos used to be where Mike Pero's is in Hereford Street. That was quite good. Diner style food. Mind you, like 'chinese' takeways, the food was more of a Kiwi take on the cultural food. I remember ordering a triple steak burger in Florida a few years ago, thought the price was very good. Too good it seems. Got three meat patties. "But they ARE made of steak!" says the waitress. Pre-chewed food. Only in America <Grin>.
