"Lone star", a texas themed resteraunt and bar chain. Actually quite good, although quite noisy - I'd go there with a small party rather than on a date. there are any number of smaller independent places like lone-star that could be thought of as american, and might be good for a date. what else? the "new york steak-house". i've not been in, but I've heard its expensive. so that might impress some people. "Burger wisconsin" VERY NICE. basically an upmarket burger-bar. not the best of places for a date, but the food is good. nice selections of beers too.
