Anyway, cricket is easy. If it goes wide of the wicket, it's wide. If it hits the wicket, it's a wicket. If it hits the batter's leg but would have hit the wicket if it didn't, it's leg before wicket and counts as a wicket.
If it doesn't hit the wicket, whether the batter hit it or not, the batter can try to take a run, but conversely any time the bat is out of the crease, a wicket can be taken. (It's not unknown for the second runner to get wicketed for being caught creeping). |
