It would the hard for a resturant advertising "American" anything to last here. That said, the fast foot chains (McYuck, Kentucky Fried Children, etc) do quite well here. And there's teh ubiquitous hard rock cafes. But no, I wouldn't take someone to any of those places on a date. No offense to any USians here but I just do not like the US or anything/anyone who attempts to emulate it. My culture (and worse government) is becoming poisoned by US values too fast as it is.
