There was a debate a few years ago about supporting troops but not supporting the mission. Someone said that was like supporting your baseball team but not wanting them to win the World Series. Someone else said it was more like supporting your baseball team but thinking the management are fools for sending them to the Superbowl. You want the team to do their best, but would rather they got back to doing what they should do. Or something.
