*Shrug* From an artistic point of view, by Ravenlock2006-09-08 08:09:46

It is very common in these made for TV movies. The entire library for the Lifetime network would need to be eliminated if held to this standard.

A personal example: My dad was involved in a homicide case back in the 1970's. It was a man who killed women and was let off by judges because he was metally unfit for trial. My dad arrested the guy at least once. It was all recorded in detail in a book called "Dummy". When it came time for the movie, who is working the case? Not my dad and his partner. It is some other guy. In fact, the work of about 10 different detectives was loaded onto this one character. Oh yeah, and they botched up the evidence in the case as well. At the end of the movie, there was a nice little uplifting paragraph about how well he was learning in the mental institution. No mention of the fact that he committed another murder when he was released and was given life.

It's common Hollywood. Not worth censoring. Jeez. TV has been lying to us all our lives. Now Reid notices?
