This doesn't sound like censorship; it sounds like they are fighting to ensure the correct people get the blame for their actions.

Blame is possibly not the right word, but it kinda fits.

Since the general public can't remember when 9/11 occurred but can name everyone on American Idol there's a good chance that people will remember the "facts" from this show instead of any of the reports or books about 9/11.

It looks like they want people to be accountable for their actions and the show might produce "scapegoats" of sorts.
