Heh. The laws are this stuff are becoming harsher by NemoHac 2006-09-07 23:41:49
here in Australia.

We had a coulpe of really nasty incidents wher the cats and kittens barely survived (most have not adopted police officers as their slaves) and the public, police, courts, and government have all said "We can't punish them enough. We're changing the laws so the next person this cruel/stupid really gets it"

One poor kitten (~8 months old so not really a kitten anymore) was thrown around, badly beaten and kicked, before being thrown on the train tracks. Thankfully she survived after surgery and the B7's were caught on CCT cameras. As per the above the cute little cat now lives happily (and well) with one of the rescuing officers.
