Joel Spolsky: A Field Guide to Developers by SoylentGreen2006-11-19 12:55:59
There is one assumption that Joel makes by Peace_man 2006-09-07 12:29:55
that may be difficult to achieve in real life. He assumes that management can actually tell a good programmer apart from a clueless one who is good at BS. In short, he assumes that management is able to recognize and hire only programmers that are actually worth this star treatment.

Which makes management the most important element in the whole equation?
