What I bought versus what I "got" from Dell: by jayfarm 2006-09-07 10:38:22
I bought an Inspiron 5150 ~3years ago.
What I have since received:

2 new motherboards - Power jack broke
2 new AC bricks - Tied in with the power issues
1 new motherboard - failure of bios chip
1 new fan - it died
1 new top plastic shell - had scratches on it, weak lcd springs
1 new lower plastic shell - fan bit broke
15 new rubber pads for the bottom "feet"

I'm not sure if this is a testiment to how good dell service is, how bad the product was, or if I'm really mean to my laptop. All in all, I'm still happy with the product and the service which is what counts I think.
