GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB by Michiel2006-09-07 07:04:56
One quick (Hopefully obvious) comment by sazzer 2006-09-07 09:34:05
When your dd-ing raw data onto a hard drive, make sure that you dd the data your about to overwrite into a backup file first, so that when you desperatly need to restore those sectors that you just nuked then you can do so.

Also, it would be a lot easier and probably safer to just use the grub-install script that comes with Grub to install it. If I remember correctly then it has an option to allow you to specify a script file of grub commands to be run, so it would be fully automatable if necessary.
