but you're not required to develop (spend points in its attributes) or make use of the skills in your secondary if you choose not to. It doesn't make a difference as to how fast you advance, since it's not like D&D where your two classes advance separately.
You can choose to redistribute earned attribute points between your abilities at will. You can learn a lot of skills (and you should), but you're only allowed to choose 8 to take along for any jaunt outside of cities/towns. This makes for the emphasis on skill rather than power-levelling in the game.
Usually questing parties are completely temporary, you might just pick up a random group to go on a mission or a quest, and when you're done that, everyone might go off in their own direction again. You might never even see those people again. On the other hand, your group might stick together for a few more quests. |
