don't have to rely on the other person to check the code in? The CVS repository should always have a working stable-ish copy on it and when you make your changes and check-in, the status quo should not change. At least that's how it is here. The only thing that doesn't work when somebody doesn't check their code in is that that part of the program doesn't function. Unless maybe you're using functions from a library coder that he hasn't written yet? Ewww.
