Are rabies shots covered by health insurance? by MatthewDBA2006-08-08 12:31:17
Yes, they are by bitflipper 2006-08-08 14:25:46
At least, my insurance company covered them when I needed them (bit by a 'coon -- my own d4ed fault! Do not try to feed a "cute, fluffy", and, above all, wild animal by hand -- and I decided it was better to be safe). Granted, I still had to meet my deductible and 10% co-pay, but I figure my health is worth a bit more than $550.

Besides, I don't know any hospital or physician that will not work with a patient willing to pay hir bill in installments -- so long as one conscientiously makes the payments, the only trouble is a possible regular phone call from a collection agency. Big deal. I got caller ID, an answering machine, and a firm policy of refusing to answer any phone call from an undisclosed phone number (don't want to do me the decency of telling me who you are when you wish to intrude upon my privacy? Talk to the machine, bud!)
