for the AbScam affair will completely disappear. I have to wonder at the reason announced for the move: "Ottawa will now be able to impose regional quotas on the economic benefits of the contracts".

In other words, Cabinet will now be able to direct economic boon to ridings having Conservative MP's. Which is the worst kind of polarized party political intervention I can think of. It is the blatant direction of economic benefit towards ridings with government MLA's that has made Alberta the one-sided province it is - and I resent that kind of voter manipulation.
