Laptop question by Ishta2006-08-06 15:40:34
  I have a one that's also a tablet, M200 by shminux 2006-08-06 16:03:38
(see a couple of posts down). It's great for taking handwritten notes. I've had it for about 2.5 years in heavy use (it's a desktop replacement for me), and the swivel neck is still working fine. There are a couple of scratches on the tablet screen which I can't wipe off, but then I wasn't particular gentle with it. If not for the recurrent battery issues I mentioned recently on this forum, in a futile attempt to pick people's brains, I'd say I'm pretty happy with it. The newer model, M400, looks very good, too. The price is about 30% over similar not-tablet models, so point getting one just for the swivel screen.

I know one person who had his M200's screen crack for no reason while being gently written on with the original stylus. Not sure if this is covered by the 3yr warranty. Toshiba's CS is one of the worst, though, if you have issues. Any authorized repair shop is better than dealing with them direct in case of hardware problems.
