In response to the question "Will you marry me?" (Just had our 4th anniversary last month.)
A couple of the more worrying ones are ones where people think I'm noticably older than I am. For example, when in the hospital, a nurse mentioned that my brother had come by to see me. I don't have a brother, so I thought he might have meant my brother-in-law. Nope. He meant my dad. Now, I may look a little older than my actual age (due to some slight graying and a bald spot,) but my dad is most definitely gray all over, with a white beard and mustache. I don't care if I WAS in the hospital (where one tends to look worse,) there is no way we look that close in age that someone would assume 'brother' over 'father'. Grumble, grumble... (Now, my sister's co-workers assuming I'm her OLDER brother when I'm really 4 years younger than her is one thing...) |
