I need a language/word studying/revision program. by Esteis 2006-08-06 09:06:14
I've searched SourceForge for 'studying', and found AP Flashcard, Blokken, and FlashCardStudio; of these, Blokken is the nicest, because it's got a good interface.

It allows for multiple choice, first letter given, open answer, and other stuff.

But: do you have a revision program you already know that you like a lot? Must run on Windows XP, and not require admin rights to install; smaller is better; if it uses an easy-to-type format for the files in which it stores the words, awesome.

I'll be using it for Spanish, should that matter; and I'll be supplying the revision material myself over the course of the semester, so that need not be included.

What would be *utterly* awesome is date awareness, so that I can fire up the program and revise what I learned a week ago, without having to look up what that was.

Anyway, I'm not asking you to go out and look; but if you have cool stuff and want to sing its praises, fire away.
