I don't know if you read the linked article in the TLP, but this abuse seems to be rampant. I can't stand parents who think their offspring are incapable of failure (or think they should be incapable of failure and how dare some upstart educator tell them otherwise!).

It's the same attitude as to be found on that MP3 that's been floating around the 'net where some Mom calls the local Sheriff's department because the drive-thru won't make her a burger "her way," and she insists that the police come and do something about it because they're supposed to "protect her."
