It holds something like 80 hours. You just program in the times and channels, (and whether to put it to hard drive or DVD) and it records it for you. It is a Toshiba, but I don't remembe the model. It is about a year and a half old now. (Note: DVDs burned on this (DVD -R) play on my old crappy DVD player, but FF is limited, and Rev doesn't work.)
