DVR Question by tonza 2006-07-26 11:58:57
Are there DVRs out there that just allow me to record TV like a VCR?

I seem to come across a lot of TIVO-type units that require a subscription, or they're integrated with cable boxes or satellite receivers.

I'm basically just looking for a VCR with a hard drive, not requiring any type of subscribtion commitment for guides, etc. I want to be able to program the time I want it to record and it will store things for me to watch later.

Anyone familiar with or have anything like this? Got any recommendations? And no, I'm not really insterested in building one myself.
