:-( I get worried about that with my mom. I've seen her be less than careful with things around the stove. She'll have a burner running and be unaware that there's a plastic container or a paper towel dangerously close. And I have seen some containers with scorch marks and some plastic utensils that show signs of meltage. For those who don't know, she's had a degenerative eye disease for about as long as I can recall. She's at the point now where she's effectively blind.
