  A chair is by MatthewDBA 2006-07-26 07:43:19
a solid object designed for the purpose of sitting. It consists of a horizontal platform slightly larger than the size of a typical human rear end, and approximately equal in length and breadth. The platform is supported by one or more pillars (the height of the pillars SHOULD be, but need not be, approximately 30% of the typical height of those for whom the chair is designed). To one side of the platform is affixed either a plate, or a support for a plate, in a more or less vertical orientation (the plate SHOULD, but need not, extend to a distance from the floor approximately equal to 60% of the typical height of those for whom the chair is designed).
