called "Shoulder". I figured it was an odd name for a drinking establishment, so I walked in out of pure curiosity as to what sort place would have such a name. I saw all these people standing in line, crying like little babies. And they all had photos or drawings in their hands.
I found out later, that these images represented the cause of their woes. Some people had photos of their exes, some had pictures of their parents or siblings, some had pictures of their bosses, and there were various other images. At the head of the line was a punching bag. Each person would take their turn taping up their photo or drawing, and punching the heck out of it, until they got all their frustrations out.
When I inquired as to what, exactly, was going on, I was told it was a themed bar, that there was another one, across town, called "Hip", and that the theme is that they're both bawl-and-sock-it joints. |
