some don't. I don't. Blinds shut. If a good lightning storm comes up I'll open the blinds and turn off all the lights in the house so I can see all the pretty sparklies. Otherwise - blinds shut. I don't really need to see outside - I know what it is. It is distracting when you are working on the computer, either on a project or playing a game. If I could find a way to block out the birds making all that racket in the morning, I would. Outside = overrated.
