I think we both sort of got hit on our professional areas, and both perhaps reacted a tad strongly. I was speaking strictly in the context of this TLP, not your earlier discussion. We're in different realms, professionally, I believe.

I'm glad I'm long past the days when I had to deal with the individual pins on the various UART chips and such. Personally, I never enjoyed that side of things. I stilled get called on, though, to troubleshoot "exotic" serial communications problems (why can these "intelligent" advanced engineers these days even figure out a simple bit parity problem?).
