they wanted to interview? If so, you can set your own timeframe to call them back after applicants/2 days. Otherwise, figure about a week -- two at most -- to hear back. If they haven't called you within that time, then call the person who interviewed you and ask for the second interview. In absolute worst case, you hear "sorry, we've decided to hire someone else." Depressing, but you can cope with that -- just keep circulating your brag-rag and get an interview with some other companies. OTOH, by allowing them a little bit of time, you're showing you understand how busy they can be, and by asking for the second interview, you're showing how eager you are to start working with them -- both great points to make in an interview situation.
Don't forget to write and mail (snail-mail; e-mail is sometimes considered "gauche", for some reason) a personal thank-you letter to the person who interviewed thanking hir for hir time and for considering you for the position. Do that today, and get it in a mailbox, tonight. It really makes a strong impression. |
