There are now 46 states with some form of MAy or Shall issue Concealed carry. There are a ton of states with similar Stand your Ground or Castle Doctrine laws. Each time one of these states went farther in protecting the citizen in a Self Defense shooting or providing legal avenues for law abiding citizens to protect themselves, the opposition screamed about blood in the streets. So far, thankfully, No blood. More criminals getting shot by citizens in self defense? seeems easy to answer to me: Don't commit crimes. NO ONE wants to shoot anyone. People get hurt in gunfights. But somehow, "Please don't Hurt me..." is much less deterant than "Stop or I'll shoot"
