Questions for the RIAA and MPAA: by Peace_man 2006-11-19 12:55:59
Here is a list of questions that should be asked before granting the RIAA and/or MPAA additional power to control what we do with our technology.

I have an additional question that I would like to ask: Does the restrictions that the recording industry lobby have managed to put on the books so far amount to an illegal monopoly? Are there any independent recording companies that don't agree with those restrictions and would rather dispense with them, in order to benefit their own sales? Has the legislative body been fooled into providing the RIAA and MPAA something that is illegal for other industries - simply because technology isn't well enough understood by the legislators?
