tail -n +3 *.tec > .. then what? by Control 2006-07-12 08:43:43
And off we go, into another round of the endless bash quiz. Will todays puzzle again be cracked by our reigning champion, the UFicle? Stay tuned to find out!

I have a long list of *.tec files in a directory. I want to remove the first three lines from each one, without changing the file name. How do I get tail to send it's output back to the file that provided the input?
