Remember that I'd already been chewed out for not "communicating properly."

And for the sick thing, I believe I explained to them multiple times that it would be a hardship for me to come in, and there was a teleconference number set up if it turned out that coming in was impossible. However, there's an importance to face-to-face communication, and that morning I decided I felt well enough to do it (I was wrong, though mainly because people then expected me to stay at the office to work-- I told them to call me at home, that I was going to go sit on my couch and stop infecting everyone). What baffles me is the insensitivity that led them to insist on a meeting that day anyway.

I suspect there's something to the "easily pressurable" comment, but remember that I'm a contractor and I'm trying to work *with* these people. I am definitely being walked on, though. Did I mention that the person who hired me to subcontract has done nothing to mitigate any of this?

Yeah. My contract's up at the end of this month. I'm not staying for renewal.
