I have an '87 Civic that's on the verge of death, along with a newer car. Today I put the Civic out on the street with some For Sale signs up in the windows and promptly left for the day in my other car. I returned around midnight to see that the back windshield was broken. When I investigated further, I saw that nothing was missing, including the stereo and speakers. The trunk hadn't even been popped open, because there were glass shards all over it. Granted, nothing was in there because I took it all out when I decided to sell the car, but a thief wouldn't know that. I think that's the saddest thing: the stuff in my car wasn't worth the hassle of stealing it.
