To whom it may concern:
Being a lover of classical music, I subscribed last year to Naxos's premium music streaming service. When I did so, I also opted in to receive Naxos's online newsletter. I occasionally perused it looking for new albums of potential interest. Although my university library has largely taken the place naxos.com, I still purchase Naxos albums in considerable volume through iTunes.
Recently, however, I have begun receiving a different sort of email through Naxos: gaudy ads for sleazy products sold by Naxos business partners. I have attached an example. Such messages are, quite frankly, spam. I find it disappointing that Naxos would engage in such conduct. It wastes my time and cheapens Naxos's image.
I have already unsubscribed from the Naxos mailing list. However, I object to doing business with spammers, even if they do not happen to be targeting my mail accounts. I hope that these mailings were an honest oversight and will be discontinued now that I have brought them to your attention. However, until I receive confirmation of this, I will not be making any further purchases of Naxos records. |
