1. I already knew about the lingsoft page - it's very useful, except when you're trying to translate song lyrics :)

2. 'kunpa' actually makes sense in the phrase I'm looking at, but it certainly sounds like 'kumpa' to me on the recording, and the lyrics I found confirm that spelling - perhaps a regional variation in pronunciation?

3. That's what I was thinking, but I can't work out what it might be a contraction of :(

Second link: I've got that one (Karlsson). I've also got this and this...

this ($169.95) is the only dictionary I've been able to find in Australia (except for the Berlitz pocket phrasebook/dictionary).
Guess I'll be ordering one from Amazon then :)
