do it yourself .. .... bah, just disappointed. I hired a person who owns a sound recording studio. He also does video on the side. So we do an interview with him and at times against my best judgement I put my trust in him. Cuz he's the sound guy supposedly. We start the interview and I ask him if he has any wireless mics. No. He used his shotgun mic with my camera and for some reason the combination gave very bad audio. We used my shotgun mic, and audio was good but the mic was far away so it was muffled. He used on-camera mic and said it was "good" and I took his word for it. After interview at home I listen to it myself and oh my .... well it's just bad. No studio-like quality but on-camera mic like quality altogether with nice healthy dose of ambient sound. Something that just says Amateur. Now I'm just disappointed. Too late to call the guy. Now I'm just thinking trhough my options. Maybe I need to go do something else for a while.
