...manually force an install of the modified drivers, plop the Intel Application Accelerator folder that I copied from my other system into Program Files, and run IntelATA.exe (from within C:\Program Files\Intel Application Accelerator), will it work?
Oops, don't answer that yet - I'm about to try it myself...
