If that's your expectation, and it does sound like it, it is indeed ludicrous. The responses were rational; they were drawn from conclusions that most anyone -- other than you, but you're the writer -- would deem reasonable.
And I shouldn't need to remind you that this is an online forum, not any sort of formal teaching space. You posted a link to an article, respondents pointed out their analyses, and you were off to the races.
abaron, btw, responded to the issue about how you come across. As he said, it doesn't matter if you're actually calm as an oasis -- if your word choice portrays you as angry, that's how people will see you. That's hardly unreasonable.
