If your not gonna let the father stake a claim, then please don't require that he be notified before an adoption! There was another case very similar where a man upen finding out he had a 2 year old child filed for custody the next day, he was eventually denied. I am not necessarily agianst letting an adoptive couple keep the child the have raised, but if the courts are determined to do that, they should not be required to notify the father. It;s just hrutful and cruel all around.
