ATTN: Kickstart by Arivia2006-11-19 12:55:59
Woah there, you're way overboard. by JimK 2006-06-22 14:06:04
I've followed this thread, and I haven't seen the slightest prejudice. In fact people have gone out of their way to say that they are not prejudiced.

I think you're mistaking what people mean when they talk about bias:

If a researcher has any personal or vested interest in the outcome or research, then they have a bias. It does not mean that they deliberately push the conclusions in a particular direction.

In peer-reviewed scientific journals (at least, in the better ones), any vested interest at all in the outcome of the research can be enough to get a paper rejected. The researchers' motives may be, and usually are, as good as gold, but even the possiblity of unconscious bias in results analysis can reduce the impact of conculsions.

So, saying someone has bias does not in any way imply intent. I think you're being oversensitive, seeing prejudice where there isn't any.
