If you have a house that's been crumbling for tens of years, and it falls down when one of your friends slams the door a bit too hard, you can't blame your friend for collapsing your house.

People say that gay marriages will destroy family values, and I say that heterosexuals have disrespected marriage for so long that now, when they claim to want to "protect the institution of marriage," people are asking, "What is there left to protect that heterosexuals haven't already torn down?"
