Defending Marriage by Illiad2006-11-19 12:55:59
  I hear it's all but gone in Quebec... (n/t) by shminux2006-06-22 09:37:13
Then why are all of my friends/family getting marr by Miss L. Anyus2006-06-22 09:52:54
My sources are from gc.ca: by shminux2006-06-22 10:23:46
That statistic doesn't talk about marriage by Miss L. Anyus 2006-06-22 10:37:25
but about birthrates. (Clue: the title is "The Changing Family Environment at Birth.)

How many marriages are childless? Did the study include common-law marriages or only church marriages?

Earlier this week, there was an article in the local paper that said only 50 per cent of Quebec marriages were ending in divorce (my Dad pointed it out as surprising).

In both cases, the frequency of marriages isn't mentioned; only the frequency of something in relation to marriage.

Statistics are often used to obfuscate, mislead, or outright lie.
