...that today I get to score a "See I told you so" against the boss.
I suggested measure XYZ for our client database as a way to stimulate sales and increase our closing percentage. As measures go, it was a low cost, low labor measure. Explained why it would likely work. My boss, being a cheap bastidge to the point of being penny-wise and pound foolish, turned it down flat.
Someone higher up the food chain in our industry was talking with him about similar things. Boss could not complete the conversation, so he told me to follow up and see more of what this person suggested.
I bet you a 6 pack of good beer that what I suggested SIX MONTHS AGO is exactly what the higher-up is suggesting.
