Just because divorce is easy to obtain does not force me to go out and get one. Seeing adulterous wives of TV has not yet convinced me to sleep around. Just because Brittany and K-Fed have separate vacations does not mean my spouse and I will.

The religious defense is most commonly stated in relation to gay marriage, which is why I choose that specific topic. I rarely see devote Christians fighting for eliminating divorce, nor has the religious right political group made loud noises about it.
