Question for coders by UGuardian2006-06-22 02:34:59
For the curious by UGuardian 2006-06-22 09:01:06
There is a reason this question came up (ie, it's not a random train of thought) :)

A few days ago I ended up musing about how a specific program worked and downloaded the source to take a peek at the part in question. Now my question's answered and I'm left with the otherwise useless source.

There's nothing to gain by porting the C code into Pascal. After all I already have a compiled version installed. At most I could making some modifications to the program's behavior and/or appearance but there's no point there either -- the program allows for said changes via its command-line parameters.

So basically the question became "Delete it or mess with it?"

I'm thinking I'd have to be terminally bored to mess with it, yet just deleting it seems wasteful somehow. Hence the quandary.
