Uh-oh. Hundreds of WMDs found in Iraq by VivianC2006-11-19 12:55:59
Not a very clear article. by nix 2006-06-22 08:45:10
The state that "A Pentagon official who confirmed the findings said that all the weapons were pre-1991 vintage munitions 'in such a degraded state they couldn't be used for what they are designed for.'". The weapons were designed to kill people. If this statement is true, then it follows that they were no longer a threat, and thus had effectively been disabled, although perhaps not in the manner suggested by the cease-fire (or whatever it was) in 1991. Later in the article, they suggest that these "degraded weapons" were still a serious threat. Which is it - are they degraded to the point of uselessness, or still functional and deadly?

I also find it interesting that these weapons have apparently been found "since the March 2003 invasion", but all that's reached the mainstream media to date is a single shell. Supposing that this report is true, then why all the secrecy on the part of the US government? This is exactly what they were looking for!
