My phone/DSL WAS through SBC. I am stuck halfway through a 1 year contract on the DSL service; breaking it involves a $200 cancellation fee. After AT&T ate SBC, my phone bill went up $10/month. Right. After. The. Merger. I would LOVE to argue that since they are changing the TOS, I should not be held to my contract. You can guess the likely outcome. $200 fee + increased costs to go with one of VERY few other providers (that may or may not respect customer privacy) is not something I can take atm, though.
