that Ubuntu has firefox compiled for 64-bit (not necessarily optimised, but you get that). This means that 32-bit plugins won't work.
Adobe/Macromedia's support for Linux is pathetic. Of course, GPLflash, swfdec, et cetera, don't work real well either.
Mounting NTFS R/W is a case of getting the NTFS FUSE (Userland filesystem module) driver and it might work, but probably not. If it worked before, chances are it will again. The packages you need are libntfs and ntfsprogs. You also need fuse to mount it as a filesystem, which is apparently only available in source form on Debian, I don't know if this is the case on Ubuntu. |
