pass the LART please by imrambi 2006-04-12 23:00:00
'm talking with my brother. He has his own business that is still very small. I guess he talked with a business counselor today. The idiot recommended a website.

Bro: I met with a small business counselor (just to see if there was money available to improve my equipment). He said there wasn't any money, but to increase clients and revenue developing a website (however simple) would be the first step.
Me: he is partially true
Bro: Why only partially?
Me: a website does help, but it does cost money
Bro: True. But compared to being in a phone book (and since I can do some of the developing myself) a website is much cheaper.
Me: did this business counselor say anything else about a website?
Bro: Like?
Me: anything?
Bro: Other than linking to key search terms and developing the site as business grew, not much.
Me: not much?
Bro: Nope. Why? What were you hoping he would say?
Me: business image things like that
Bro: That's marketing (different than website). Didn't talk about that much.

Is it me or should a website portray the companies public image?
